Going back to stand-up comedy is not an option. That is a lot of work and I really don’t want to travel on the road that much anymore. I also performed as a stand-up on cruise ships. Now I will be a speaker or TV personality as other options outside of creating and producing TV shows. I transitioned when I realized that I was a talented comic, but that was not what I wanted to do long term. That was very key, because a lot people will stop what they are doing until it is too late. Every six months you should evaluate how you feel about your life, if you are happy then keep doing what you doing, but after 12 months you feel you need to change, then you need to use the next 6 months looking for that new inspiration.

Please do not limit your product to such a small group. There are a lot more people who are not members of a sorority or fraternity to sell too. Expand you brand and you will expand your financial opportunities.

I left when corporate life was not my dream anymore. I got my degree in Mathematics and I worked at IBM. Feels like the perfect marriage, but it was not, because I did what everybody wanted me to do. When I left to do stand-up comicwas what I wanted to do. So you have to ask yourself are you doing what you want to do in the corporate space? If not, then create an exit plan. I planned my exit one year before my job separation.
